Surrounded by vineyards, orchards, and mountains and centred on the glistening jewel that is Okanagan Lake, Kelowna is a bustling urban centre that offers a four-season playground. As the third-largest metropolitan area in BC, many Central Okanagan residents work in information and technology, viticulture and wine production, health, tourism, trade, and manufacturing fields, so a good night’s sleep is imperative.

Fortunately, there’s help for Kelowna residents who have found themselves tired and unable to enjoy all the Okanagan has to offer due to sleep apnea and snoring.

Get ready to wake up happy thanks to the new Snore MD Kelowna sleep clinic.

What is Sleep Apnea?

Obstructed sleep apnea, or OSA, is an obstruction of the upper airway that causes apneas, or disruptions in breathing lasting 10 seconds or longer. Patients with OSA can have insomnia, snoring, hypertension, headaches, lack of concentration, weight gain, and depression. A severe symptom of OSA is oxygen desaturation or low blood oxygen (hypoxemia). Low blood oxygen levels can lead to high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and the risk of stroke.

A Step in the Right Direction

Your journey to better sleep, better life starts by walking into our sleep clinic in Kelowna and following our three easy steps.

After getting to know you, our sleep team sets you up with a free sleep test device that measures your breathing and sleep patterns for two nights. Upon returning to our clinic, we review the data with you right away and then come up with a plan of action, which can involve Continuous Positive Airway Pressure or CPAP therapy.

“Technology has come a long way. Our CPAP equipment is amazingly light, sleek, quiet, and non-evasive. Plus, we don’t believe in hiding our equipment in a back room like a secret. We keep all of our products upfront, so you can see and get a feel for the various sleep products we offer,” Katrina says.

Finally, our Legendary Care for Life premium support program ensures better outcomes for those suffering from OSA and other sleep-related disorders.

Snore MD provides all Kelowna CPAP clients with free distilled water for as long as they need it, as well as continuous care with follow-up appointments and equipment reviews.

“We want to make sure we’re all on the same page with your CPAP therapy, and that’s why we monitor your progress continuously,” adds Katrina.
