I chose a career in sleep because I liked the idea of focusing on a specific area and state of the human body that generally, we spend or should be spending half of our lives in. We continue to learn more and more in this field and it’s awesome to be a part of that education process.
My biggest accomplishment in life to date is having the blessing of becoming a mom. It’s been the biggest learning curve of our lives and couldn’t imagine life otherwise.
I love hearing the differences therapy has made in people’s lives. Sometimes it’s subtle, sometimes it’s monumental – but it’s great to be a small part of that change.
I’m a long-time resident of Kelowna, and I decided that this is where I want to be long-term and help with my family’s businesses along the way. As a family, we were always in the industry of customer service, and of course, I carried on to help with the businesses. I eventually branched off and opened two of my own businesses after my Dad retired.
I have a 16-year-old Autistic son, which is the best achievement of my life. Growing up in the public system was so difficult for him, so I enrolled him in a private school for Autistic kids, and now the sky’s the limit for him. I am so proud of him! I love to go hiking with my Border Collie, Bentley, and I have two cats, which are also the love of my life.
I decided that I needed a career change, and I could not pass up the opportunity with Snore MD. I am very excited to be able to build new relationships and start a new journey. I have always been a people person and love all the patients and the team that I work with. I am fortunate to be a part of the Snore MD Family!
After years of working in the health care industry, I decided to change and expand my career with Snore MD. Now with being the Sleep Clinician for Snore MD West Kelowna, I am allowed to opportunity to expand my knowledge base with each and every experience I encounter and patient that I assist. I look forward to building the one on one relationships with each and every new patient that walks through the door. I consider it a privilege to be part of each patients journey to a healthier, happier sleep.
My greatest accomplishment in life other than my family is my career. After a motor vehicle accident in my younger years, I ended up going through years of rehabilitation, therefore delaying furthering my schooling. This did not stop me and at my first opportunity, I went back to school to pursue a career in health care. I wanted to make a difference in someone’s life as so many had previously done for me. I look forward to helping each and every one of our patients sleep better and to being a part of the Snore MD family.
