Meet Nino, Sleep Clinician
I have always been interested in sleep even back before when I was working as an RT in the Philippines. I have been working in the sleep industry for 4 years or more now and my interest with sleep medicine had solidified more when I was working as a registered Sleep Technologist and had the chance to get up close with patients who have different sleep disorders. To know that some people out there suffer with different types of sleep disorders, each owns complexity along with the diagnostic and treatment process was such an eye opener for me.
It would be when I started changing my lifestyle toward a healthier and active route. I lose lots of weight (which is amazing hah!) but more so, It really helped me build self-discipline and had a long term effect in how I see things now in life. I’d say this would be an accomplishment for me because the things we achieved or yet to achieve in life will somewhat lose their meaning if we don’t take care of ourselves.
To be able to work with patients hands on and be with them every step of the way in each patient’s process is why I love my job. It’s always that feeling of contentment to know that you help and support someone to be better and with this job… a good restful sleep. Sign me up!
