I came into sleep through my background as a respiratory therapist. I knew I had always wanted to work in healthcare, I guess I take after my mother as she worked as a nurse! After a few years in acute care, I moved into sleep medicine and quickly realized how common sleep apnea is—even among my own friends and family. Many people don’t realize how valuable sleep is until they start waking up exhausted, slow, or debilitated, and a common misconception is, ‘Oh, I’m just getting old.’ Often, it’s actually due to sleep apnea. It’s been incredibly rewarding to know I can make a real difference in people’s lives.
My biggest accomplishment in life has been graduating from Respiratory Therapy and building a rewarding career in healthcare. It’s something I’m proud of because it allows me to make a real difference in people’s lives every day. Aside from my work accomplishments, one of my life accomplishments is visiting over 20 different countries – I’ve traveled across Europe, Asia and North America and I look forward to adding more in the future!
I love seeing the shift in people. A lot of patients come in tired, frustrated, or even anxious, and being able to calm that down, explain things clearly, and watch them get better—it’s huge. That human connection, knowing you’ve made their life a little easier, is what keeps me going.

Yes. Our Edmonton Unity Square clinic is conveniently located near downtown, making it a great option for people who work in the city centre. Many patients visit before work, during their lunch break, or on their way home. We are also open on Saturdays.
Do you serve patients from downtown Edmonton and nearby neighbourhoods?
Absolutely. Our Unity Square clinic welcomes patients from downtown Edmonton and surrounding communities, including Oliver, Westmount, Glenora, Queen Mary Park, Inglewood, Prince Rupert, and the Brewery District. We also see patients travelling from St. Albert and surrounding areas.

Do I need a doctor's referral for a sleep test in Edmonton?
Yes. A physician referral is required for a Home Sleep Apnea Test. If you don’t currently have a family doctor, Snore MD can connect you with a licensed physician who can assess your eligibility and provide the required referral. You’re also welcome to visit our clinic to ask questions about sleep apnea, CPAP therapy, or treatment options—no appointment needed.

What Is a Home Sleep Test?
Snore MD’s Home Sleep Apnea Test is an easy, comfortable way to check for sleep apnea from home. Patients visit their nearest Snore MD clinic to pick up a small testing device and receive simple instructions. They wear the device for two nights while sleeping in their own bed, then return it to the clinic.
Our team sends the results to a sleep specialist physician for interpretation. If needed, we’ll contact you to schedule a follow-up visit to review your results and discuss next steps or treatment options.

Do you bill insurance?
Yes — we handle the entire process for you. Our team manages preauthorizations, verifies your coverage, and submits final invoices directly to your insurance provider.
