Meet Samia, Clinical Coordinator
I have always wanted to work in a sector where every day I can have a sense of fulfillment knowing I have made a positive impact in someone’s life. And a career in sleep offers me the opportunity to do just that. Sleep is often overlooked in general health discussions and many don’t realize how imperative it is to mental clarity, physical recovery and overall quality of life. Being part of a team that helps identify and treat sleep disorders gives me a sense of purpose, knowing we are directly contributing to someone’s well-being and long-term health.
While I take great pride in my professional journey, my greatest accomplishment by far is my family. They are my deepest source of inspiration, strength and joy. As a first-generation immigrant, starting a new life in an unfamiliar country brought many challenges – but also countless moments of growth and gratitude. Having my parents and spouse by my side, cheering me on every step of the way, has been one of the most meaningful parts of that journey. Their constant support has given me the confidence to keep pushing forward and striving to become better in all aspects of life. That experience has shaped the way I connect with others – I try to always remember that every person is someone’s family, someone’s loved one and deserves the same kindness, empathy and respect I would offer my own.
What I love most about working with patients is the human connection. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each person, hearing their stories and being someone they can rely on during what can sometimes be a vulnerable time. Helping someone feel heard, understood and supported – even in small ways – means a lot to me. It reminds me of why I chose this path in the first place: to make a positive difference in people’s lives, one conversation and one kind interaction at a time.
