Meet Amneeta, Sleep Clinician

I chose a career in respiratory therapy and sleep as I have always had a desire to help others. I’ve learned through my experience working in hospitals and sleep clinics; that sleep is important to one’s health and it sparked my interest in focusing on how I can help patients improve their sleep and quality of life. I feel very fortunate to be able to build relationships with such amazing patients and help them with their sleep at Snore MD.
My biggest accomplishments in life include completing a Bachelors of Science degree at the University of Victoria, and the Respiratory Therapy program at Thompson Rivers University.  I have also been very fortunate to have travelled the world with my friends and family, which has allowed me to experience many different cultures and meet all kinds of great people from different walks of life.
I love working closely with my patients and seeing how their lives change after they begin treatment for sleep apnea. It’s always amazing to see how CPAP therapy can impact my patient’s happiness, energy and overall health. I have seen many patient’s full of energy and joy once they have started their sleep therapy, and I feel honored to be a part of their healthy journey.

Meet Bimmie, Sleep Clinician

I’ve been fortunate to work in the field of Respiratory Therapy for the last 20 years, in the areas of critical care, research, diagnostics and sleep. Throughout my career, I’ve been driven by a focus to improve the quality of my patients’ lives. The world of “sleep” has always fascinated me, knowing how important it is to our health and well-being. At SnoreMD, I get to help my patients get the proper treatment they need to achieve better sleep and through that, I help to improve their lives – who wouldn’t love to do that!

On a professional level, I’m proud of my academic accomplishments. I hold two degrees from UBC (in Biology and in Education) as well as my formal training in Respiratory Therapy. I’m also thankful to have worked in lung cancer studies where I was named in research papers as a contributor, which was an amazing feeling! On a personal level, I couldn’t be more proud of my family – my husband and our three kids mean the world to me.

When it comes to my patients, my background in teaching helps me to educate them so they can get the most out of their experience. When we understand and communicate well, it always leads to positive outcomes. I use this approach with my patients from initial testing, to interpreting results, following up on treatments and problem solving. I love helping my patients achieve optimal sleep wellness and success on CPAP therapy.

Meet Dorothy, Clinical Coordinator

I chose a career in sleep because it is essential and important to all of us. I enjoy a career that raises people’s awareness of how important sleep is and how we can work together to get a better sleep. It is always great to see patients’ lives change when they start CPAP therapy.
My biggest accomplishment in life would be moving to this beautiful city and be able to help patients with their sleep. I am thankful for all the amazing people I have met throughout the journey and excited to see all the great things that are about to happen.
As a people person, It is rewarding to interact and listen to people’s stories. I enjoy seeing our patients come in with questions and leave without any concerns. I would love to listen and connect more with our patients, and be part of their CPAP journey.

Meet Harbir, Clinical Coordinator

I choose a career in sleep because I know the importance of getting a good night’s sleep. Receiving a good night’s sleep is a vital part of daily function and helping others achieve this seemed like a no brainer!

One of my biggest accomplishments would be having gained a broad understanding of health care and the healthcare system through completing a Bachelor’s in Science and through real-life work experience to be able to aid patients to find solutions to their problems.
I enjoy working with patients face to face. Being able to follow their sleep journey from initial testing to getting started on a CPAP and enjoying a restful night of sleep provides a unique feeling of pride and fulfillment.
angela snore md broadway clinic

Meet Angela, Sleep Clinician / Regional Manager

I have always wanted to help people, which drove me to become a Respiratory Therapist. I spent almost 8 years working in critical care when I decided to explore my interest in sleep. I have always found sleep interesting, as it widely affects all body systems and can cause extreme health implications without it. It is one of the most overlooked aspects in our lives and being chronically fatigued is something we shouldn’t cope with.

My biggest accomplishment to date has been the privilege I have had helping patients throughout my career. And of course my beautiful family.

I love being able to connect with patients during their appointments. We can learn so much just by listening.
Seeing a patient go from testing, being placed on CPAP then following along their journey and how their lives have changed always amazes me.
